I use a Bt878 Tv card. Sound is attached to the line in plug of the
sound card. The sound card runs under alsa (0,9.6). Kernel 2.6.0, debian
testing/unstable.
00:09.0 Multimedia video controller: Brooktree Corporation Bt878 Video
Capture (rev 11)
00:09.1 Multimedia controller: Brooktree Corporation Bt878 Audio Capture
(rev 11)
00:0b.0 Multimedia audio controller: Ensoniq 5880 AudioPCI (rev 02)
Problem: Grabbing Tv with
mencoder -tv driver=v4l:width=768:height=576:adevice=/dev/dsp \
-ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4:vbitrate=900 \
-oac mp3lame -lameopts cbr:br=64 \
-vf crop=720:544:24:16,pp=lb -o /tmp/`date +%Y%m%d%H%M`.avi tv://
I get sound only with the OSS driver, not with alsa. With alsa I hear
sound when recording, but nothing on playback.
I also tried the audio chip of the tv card (modprobe btaudio,
adevice=/dev/dsp1 or /dev/dsp2. In that case I got sound, but during
playback the movie runs too fast, sound is like mickey mouse.
How can I get sound from either alsa or btaudio?
Yours,
Klaus
