[MPlayer-users] WMA / wmv8ds32.ax needs CPU with TSC, alternatives?

Hi, when trying to play streams from:
http://www.eurovision.tv/ (bad taste rules!),
Mplayer 0.90pre4-2.95.2 uses WMV2+WMA which seems to be only
possible through win32 libraries such as wmv8ds32.ax and
divxa32.acm ...
My CPU does not support any MMX/3dNow!/SSE, nor the TimeStampCounter.
This is why I get a SIGILL inside divxa32.acm:
mplayer -framedrop mms://a789.v7014a.c7014.e.vm.akamaistream.net/7/789/7014/3cab
13bb/estoniatv.download.akamai.com/7014/128k/23-Latvia.wmv
->
Program received signal SIGILL, Illegal instruction.
0x1c42d3cd in ?? ()
(gdb) x/10i 0x1c42d3cd
0x1c42d3cd: rdtsc
...
where
divxa32.acm at 0x1c200000
wmv8ds32.ax at 0x1c400000
So my question is: Is there any other codec for WMV2, either
win32 which does not require rdtsc or alternative (not from MS) ?
Thanks...
Greetings, Eric
PS: I have a Cyrix 6x86 M1 CPU, which means very few gimmicks inside.
And I have no idea how many MHz you would need for average WMV2+WMA
files anyway - how much speed would you recommend?
