you can happily wait for someone else, this is not a question of
who is best for you, is a matter of who will embrace your code and
held responsable for any damages it may do. this list is/should be
readed by all devs, if no one but me answer to your mails it means
one of:

1.- other devs had seen my answer and agree with it
2.- other devs trust that i will deal with it correctly
3.- no one cares enough to step in
4.- none wants cola, and mencoder as it is, could be a constant supply

me answering to your mails wont necesarily means I will be the
one applying your patchs but the one caring enough to discuss it.
Sure there are better/older/smarter devs, but is not your task
to worry or judge that but to make your code and ideas good enough
to convince someone to apply them.
