mplayer -ao esd -vop expand=0:-90:0:0 -really-quiet -stop-xscreensaver

that's all.

config contains additionally e.g. cp1250 and font path to tahoma.ttf
nothing about a delay or post processing.

i've tried to insert the a/v delay parameter into config to fix the problem but the
delay differs from one movie to another so it didn't work actually.

that's all. some movies play great though.
i've updated mplayer because of mencoder (packet dependencies forced me to). i can't
remember having this problem with previous versions. :(
