For ripping, you need to use 23.976 fps unless you plan on adjusting
the audio speed too (which mencoder can't do). Then if you want to
correct for the (very small) speed inaccuracy, you can use -speed
24/23.976 when playing your rip with mplayer to have it be exactly the
right framerate.
