[MPlayer-users] mpeg2video and mpeg_quant don't go along?

Hi,

./mencoder  -ovc lavc -lavcopts 
vhq:vcodec=mpeg2video:mpeg_quant:vbitrate=800 -nosound -o /dev/null film.avi
or
./mencoder  -ovc lavc -lavcopts 
vhq:vcodec=mpeg1video:mpeg_quant:vbitrate=800 -nosound -o /dev/null film.avi

segfault saying:

mpeg2 style quantization not supporetd by codec

If I remember correctly at least mpeg1 could use mpeg_quant.

I hope to be able to use it soon :)
