BTW:

Input 3 is also B/W.

I'm not sure what I would upgrade to fix this.  I really don't
want to go down the ALSA, v4l2, etc road, been there done that
before, life is short, et cetera.  RPMs are good.

I see the same behavior with xawtv.

I *think* it works intermittently, although I am not sure.
I swear I think I saw the composite input work at least once.
No clue if/when/where/how/why.
