[MPlayer-users] Alsa + 5.1 surround

Hi all,

I recently installed mplayer version 0.92-3.2.2 successfully. However, I can't 
get surround51 working with the alsa-plugin. I use the alsa-0.9.7 driver. My 
soundcard is an intel8x0 based onboard card. I have an Asus P4PE motherboard.


I invoke mplayer as follows:

$ mplayer -v -channels 6 -ao alsa9:surround51 <avifile>
