Is there a way to force mplayer to show a video window even if the clip that is launched has only audio?
I have checked the manual but I can't find it. For example when mplayer is launched by another application and there is only audio, I have no way to control (pause, skip or stop) nor can I see how far the clip has progressed.
I know I could have mplayer started in an xterm window but that would look unnecessary at those times where there happens to be video anyway.
