[MPlayer-users] dumpstream overwriting existing file

If you do a dumpstream and use a '-dumpfile *' target that already exists, that file is overwritten.
Wouldn't it be better to behave like wget for example, and leave the existing file untouched, and then append a '*.1' to the '-dumpfile *' argument? And if run again, it would be '*.2' etc.
It would be a shame to overwrite a long and important recording by mistake.
This would be a very common situation if you don't use '-dumpfile' so that the filename is the generic 'stream.dump'.
