Finding the exact cut position is the job of any decent video
editor.  If the "third party program" you're using can't, replace
it.  Suggestions: avidemux <http://fixounet.free.fr/avidemux/>,
LVE <http://home.arcor.de/gmo18t/lve/> and cinelerra (sourceforge
project).
