[MPlayer-users] avi 20GB problems

Hi,
I have a 20GB avi, mplayer quits after 5 minutes (1.5h total movie 
duration) play. I want to mencode it -> it quits soon too. No clear 
error messages (just end of file).

I saw avi>2GB issue on the mailing list. I configured with 
--enable-largefiles. I suppose my filesystem supports big files (I  
otherwise have no problems with mplaying 7GB dvd rips). The file was 
vhs-ripped on windoze (pinnacle) and ftp'd to 
linux/2.4.23/ext3/mplayer-pre3. Any ideas? Thanks a lot for any suggestions.
