This is great! It's really interesting that most of the scalars have the 
same turning-everything-pink bug.

I've taken the liberty of doing some up-scaling tests here:

My personal preference is for the lanczos scaler (number 9). It seems to 
retain a bit more detail than bicubic (number 2).
