[MPlayer-users] Stream no seekable error in mplayer

Hi all,

I'm trying to play an mpeg(avi) video stream from a server with a slow 
network connection. But in mplayer I always get this message:

Stream not seekable!
Stream not seekable!
AVI: Missing video stream!? Contact the author, it may be a bug :(
---------------------------------------------------

But if I use a faster connection, I can play the stream with no problem.

Does mplayer have any parameter to control the timeout for a given http 
video stream?
