[MPlayer-users] bugreport: vm+fs with blackbox 0.62.1 (x11/sdl)

Hi!

I'm using blackbox-0.62.1 as windowmanager on NetBSD-1.6A/i386.
My X is 4.2.0 with the nvidia driver coming with X (not the Linux-only
one provided by nvidia). Riva TNT, so no Xv support.

I just (about half an hour) ago checked out the mplayer CVS and tested
with that version.

My ~/.mplayer/config file contains:
fs=yes
vo=x11
vm=yes

mplayer -v output for both x11 and sdl is attached.

The problem is:
When mplayer starts up, it switches resolution (great!) but the window
from which I started mplayer is on top of the video window.
Pressing 'f' I can go to fullscreen mode (even though that should be
the default already with my options, or?), but then no further
keypresses are accepted, until I switch to a different window and then
back to the window where I started mplayer from, then I can use the
keyboard to control mplayer.

Without 'vm=yes' everything is perfect (except that the graphics
window is so small ;).

Another weirdness: I can scroll the screen with the mouse and put the
mplayer window out of the center of the screen (but probably that's
x11's problem).

With vo=sdl in the config file, the first window that appears has a
header bar (with 'mplayer' and the keys f and c mentioned) but no
graphics (black inside); when I switch away from fullscreen and then
back (I don't have to do any focus tricks to make the keyboard work)
everything works nicely, but the first window is not ok. Mouse
movement in full screen mode does not put the mplayer window out of
the center of the screen.

Additional 'f' presses make the window with header bar show
graphics. SDL version is 1.2.3.

I hope this mail contains all the info you need.

I remember that full screen mode worked much better in, I think,
0.90pre2, but I don't have that version installed anymore.
