use mencoder -ovc copy -oac copy -idx infile.avi -o outfile.avi
this will copy the audio/video streams and index the movie if it wasn't
indexed before...
if you want to reindex a movie use -forceidx instead of -idx...
and btw. it's all in the manpages, so rtfm :-)
