Hello.
I already told it, but got no answer :-(
I'm using WindowMaker and have 4 desktops configured.
When I play any movie with mplayer, the third desktop background gets
corrupted. Sometimes (when there are may windows open) other parts gets
corrupted, too (usually dockables, netscape images, and so on). If a
dockapp gets corrupted, usually the video gets corrupted too.
IMO it's due to both mplayer and the other apps contending video memory
(I have a Mobile Mach64 w/ 8MB, and use xvidix by default).
I thought I saw a workaround for it, but IIRC it suggested to reduce
video memory available for X11 (tried setting it to 4096 instead of 8192
and didn't work). Couldn't locate it any more :-(
I don't think a "proper bugreport" is suitable in this case, since
mplayer is working great... But if it's needed I'll do it. Just tell me.
PS: I tried rereading TFM, but couldn't find anything (searched for
'WM', 'WindowMaker' and 'memory').
BYtE,
Diego.
