The 2.95.4 is a pure debian thing, it's a patched 2.95.3, 'cause
it had some nasty bugs which could in some rare cases produce wrong
code. It's nothing like 2.96 as they didnt pick a alpha version.
Basicaly it doesnt matter whether you use 2.95.3 or 2.95.4
(3.x should work too, as we didnt hear about any 3.x bugs lately)
