virtualdub doesn't support vbr mp3, read Avery Lee's opinion about vbr on
vdub homepage...
and most other avi editing tools also don't support vbr mp3
no wonder - as vbr audio in avi is a big hack, exploiting soem bugs of
windows avi demuxer, but this bug probably doesn't exists in avi editing
programs
