It used two lines of the "serial" interface to transfer data. But I
bought SpeedDOS that used parallel transfer... IIRC it took something
like 12 sec to load the entire system. And SpeedDOS made it possible to
copy the original GEOS disk (so you could use a backup...).

Wow... these were days... But we're going too much OT :-)

PS: what about my question ? How much is LVM slower than plain sw RAID5
?
