[MPlayer-users] mencoder does not create a seekable avi

Hi,
 I installed latest cvs-snapshot but still when I try to repair a damaged avi 
the endproduct is a smaller file (334221216 compared to 355725312) and is 
still not seekable (this time the warning about raw-avi does not appear the 
mplayer just crashes).
I used 
	mencoder input.avi -ovc copy -oac copy -o output.avi
Anyone got a suggestion how to make a working avifile with mencoder or is it 
not supposed to work yet (alpha-state)?
