[MPlayer-users] Do I still load radeon_vid when using vesa:vidix?

Just wondering, when using -vo vesa:vidix, do I still load the
radeon_vid kernel module?  mplayer with vesa:vidix seems to work
without it but there is still much judder.  I wonder if the lack of
radeon_vid is why.

If I am not supposed to load it, how does syncing the displaying of
frames with the vsync refresh of the video card work?
