If you've got a fast enough network, it should be possible. For a fairly small 
window, it should be possible on 100Mbps switched, with fast network cards 
(ie. not Intel Pro/100 ones :)

Which -vo device are you using? You'd have to use a 'physical' device (ie. x11 
or sdl:x11) that actually writes to the screen rather than one that writes to 
offscreen memory and uses an overlay like xv or xmga.
