use 
mplayer -lavdopts bug=16 bugreport.ogm

that means the file is buggy ( it's not a standard mpeg4 file ), and
libavcodec ( the codec used to decode the data ) is unable to autodetect
it, so you have to manually find it out... usually when a problem like
this happens, read the manpages, and try the bugs 1,2,4,16,32,64..
