I think, this is a missunderstanding. He said "defined" and not
"preferred". Yes, mp4-containers can (and do) really suck. But they
are given as the official container for asp/avc by the "Motion
Pictures Experts Group". I guess, this was meant by defined.
Btw, many HW-players support asp in mp4-containers but not mkv nor
nut. Thus, mp4 can be convienent for the end-user.
