I'm also still working on CPU determination and optimization, so I should 
have a patch out for that, as well, in a few days, hopefully.  I'll have 
to add some conditions to match the POWER and RS64 hardware, so -mcpu and 
-mtune can be used appropriately. Contrary to what I had thought, the 
POWER4 and POWER5 do not have Altivec.

I'll probably be the only person that uses Mplayer on AIX, but I figure 
the support *should* be there. And, of course, I can't wait to use 
mencoder on the platform that is currently dominating the SPECfp charts.
