This is OBVIOUSLY not the intent of the GPL. See the examples
(compiler, kernel) and the fact that they are clearly necessary
integral parts of the OS which programs MUST use to interface with the
system, versus bundled software (QuickTime). GPL v2 was written a long
time ago, before anyone thought of the (idiotic) idea of trying to
consider bundled software to be part of the OS.
