The stream group describles all the audio/video stream biterate that can be
used while streaming over the network. Depending on your network connectivity
(56kpbs, DSL...) you need to select the right audio/video stream ids that
will not generate more bandwith than you really have. You need to provide the
switch --bandwith to set you internet bandwith to allow the proper selection
of the streams.
Note that not all .asf files do have multiple bitrate in there files. That
need to be done while encoding the media. This is typically for network
streaming.
The output is there to tell if the file contains multiple bitrate.
