I agree but
It was not coded to work with audio only streams in its current form.
reason is it is using the video position to determine when 
to process edl entries.

Fix is for -edl code as it is.

it could be rewritten possibly and then this would be removed.

just a note this was not stated in the man pages
I just tried it and found it failed for reason stated above.
