[MPlayer-dev-eng] configure problem on FreeBSD

With the CVS version configure dies with the following errors.  However if I
change the script to be 

elif ( cc_check -pthread ) ; then

instead of

elif ( cc_check -pthread && $TMPO ) ; then

then it works, and compiles successfully.  Any ideas?
