both supprot all card, but different function
mga_vid uses BES and mga_crtc2_vid uses CRTC2
(BES is yuv overlay, CRTC2 is yuv-capable framebuffer on 2nd DAC)

yes, only the ATI drivers are uptodate and developed for vidix
