With the SB Live range you can map the LFE and Centre channels easily to
the front.

  emu-dspmgr -a"fx12:Front" -a"fx13:Front"

I could add a four channel downmix too - but that's all already in liba52
- wouldn't it be better to look to use that rather than the forked libac3?
