Hi,

i still see commits to configure. it is bad, as we forked it and new chanegs
should go to configure2.

what about configure2? is it ready to replace configure?
it works fine for me, so i don't see any reason not to do it.

if someone has problems with it, report it ASAP.
if no fatal errors, i'll rename configure to configure.old and configure2 to
configure today night.
i see no sense of maintainining 2 scripts.
