i've checked the code:

  ao_pts=sh_audio->timer*90000.0;

if it stay 0, it's very strange, as it's increased when playing back audio.
maybe your libao2 driver doesn't return the right values for get_space and
get_delay

it works well woth -ao mpegpes -vo mpegpes, you can test it
(without DVB card it will write an .mpg PS file)
