[MPlayer-dev-eng] library access questions

Hi,
My name is Amaury Jacquot. I am currently thinking (read: feverishly
coding the UI at the moment) in creating an adobe premiere clone, and am
looking into all the available video players to use.
The question is: is there a way to use mplayer as a library to include
it as the default video player in my program (that would be used just
about everywhere).
Also, is there a _simple_ example of doing that with a GTK interface ?
