Almost true, apparently there is a freebsd module as well. I got a 
bugreport once ;)...
I'm cleaning up the mess called libmp1e (don't blame me, I didn't write 
it initially ;), when I'm done it'll compile on any arch. But for now I 
guess it would be easier to have it compile only when dxr3 and mmx is 
available, this should rule out any nonhappy environments, unless ppc 
supports mmx?
