There is a bug in synchronization of DVD subtitles.  I have a fix, but
my source tree is too much out of sync to deliver a clean patch...  If
you will release mplayer this year then don't wait for my fix.  If you
can wait a couple of weeks, then I will send you a fix (together with
Vobsub support).
