Hello,
 when reindexing avi files, there is awfully lot of stderr/stdout
printing, namely this get's called rather often:
  mp_msg(MSGT_HEADER,MSGL_STATUS,"Generating Index: %02d
(byteposition)\r", percent )

resulting in 20-40% load on my system from terminal trying to display all
these...

Couldn't display get updated only when percent changes?
