Do you happen to use a gcc-3.0.x ?

I've myself experimented some sig11 not easily reproducible with some
wmv that disappeared with gcc 2.95.x. Probably a gcc bug.
I guess it's dated back when DirectShow loader moved from c++ to plain C...
