Hi,
I'm trying to use mencoder to rip and encode a segment from a single chapter
of a DVD. My command looks like:
mencoder dvd://1 -chapter 7-7 -oac copy -ovc lavc -lavcopts
vcodec=mpeg2video:vbitrate=1000 -vf scale=720:480 -ofps 24000/1001 -ss 43
-endpos 129 -o grosse_pointe_blank-720x480-1.0Mbps-mpeg2.avi
but it seems to ignore -ss. -endpos works fine though.
Is this not possible? Do I need to rip and encode the segment from the
beginning of the chapter and then re-encode it (using -ovc copy) with -ss 43?
Will that work?
Thanks,
Jason
